Qur’anic Verses on Moderation
- “Thus We have made you a middle nation so that you may be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger be a witness over you.” (Al-Baqarah 2:143)
- “Maintain with care the obligatory prayers and the middle prayer, and stand before Allah in devout obedience.” (Al-Baqarah 2:238)
- “Its expiation is feeding ten poor people from the average of that which you feed your own families…” (Al-Mā’idah 5:89)
- “The most moderate of them said, ‘Did I not say to you, why do you not exalt [Allah]?’” (Al-Qalam 68:28)
- “And with it [the horses] they penetrate into the midst of the enemy gathering.” (Al-ʿĀdiyāt 100:5)
- In Sūrat al-Fātiḥah: “Guide us to the straight path – the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned [Your] anger nor of those who go astray.” (Al-Fātiḥah 1:6–7)
